Click here to enjoy these fun, impromptu videos, shot in the recording studio in 2011 when we first began recording for our upcoming compact disc release, dedicated to the memory of Tom Morrell - features Leon Rausch, Rich O'Brien, Craig Chambers, Greg Hardy, Johnny Case, and other Time Warp Tophands.
Hundreds have commented that Tom Morrell's self-written CD Liner Notes and Cover Art (also mostly self created) are, by themselves, worth the purchase price of a Time Warp Tophands CD. Liner notes include Tom's often wry sense of humor and his unique views on the history of the genre, it's players, his inspirations for choosing material, and information on rare tunings used during the recordings and more. Kevin Coffey, Rich O'Brien and other writers and story tellers have also contributed to the plethora of multi-page, fine print liner notes. Tom left no stone unturned in trying to make the reader feel at home and like part of the Tophands studio family. The CD cover art really is ART, and is nothing shy of genius... reflecting Tom's view of himself as a 'dinosaur' in the business, and his often less than flattering impressions of the music industry as a marketing dynasty rather than an outlet for the promotion of real talent. Much can be read into these unique and one of a kind pieces of art, permanently linked to the history of Tom Morrell and his Time Warp Tophands.
